Tortilis Camp

Tortilis Camp is a charming rustic tented camp situated at the foot of the snow capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro on the border of the Amboseli National Park in Kenya.  The Amboseli is an exciting and diverse game viewing destination.

The camp is shaded by a natural forest of acacia thorn trees and the bushes and shrubs bustle with birdlife. The tents are raised up on a wooden deck and sheltered by a thatched roof that overhangs a large veranda. The bedrooms are spacious with huge king size beds or generous twin beds and the modern bathrooms are fitted with pressured hot showers.

Tortillis is child friendly and provides lots of entertainment for the young ones. During the day they will be taken on game drives or bush walks which are led by Masaai guides who will make the bush come alive with wildlife stories. Black rhino, cheetah and lion are often spotted and there are always vast herds of wildebeest and wildebeest on the plains. Your Masaai guide will pass on his knowledge of traditional medicine, Masaai culture and folklore. Visits to the local schools and neighbouring villages can be arranged.
