Saruni Samburu

Saruni Samburu is located on the Kalama Conservancy next to the Samburu National Reserve, a celebrated elephant sanctuary, in Kenya’s remote North.

The camp is perched on top of a hill with far reaching views of the surrounding wilderness. Its four houses and large swimming pool overlook several waterholes where the Samburu elephant, reticulated giraffe, leopard, oryx and zebra gather to drink. The houses have their own seating areas, multiple verandas and private dining areas. Two of the houses are large family villas with two en-suite bedrooms and dressing rooms.

In addition to the game drives to Samburu National Reserve, Buffalo Springs Reserve and West Gate Conservancy, your family can enjoy include night and day game drives, rock climbing, bush dinners and star gazing. The traditions and semi nomadic heritage of the local Samburu people are an important part of the experience. Walks are led by professional Samburu guides who will open up a whole new dimension and insight to this fascinating area.
