Cottars 1920s Camp

Cottars 1920s Camp is a superb choice for your family safari. The camp is comfortable and stylish and sits on the vast 22000 acre private area of land in the heart of the Masai Mara in Kenya.

The camp is owned and run by the Cottar family who provide guests with service and guiding of the highest standard. The camp reflects the romance and adventure of days gone by, furnished with safari antiques and Persian rugs from the 1920’s. Each suite has its own private butler who will provide your family with attentive yet discreet service.

The camp has four family suites, holding four guests per tent, situated away from the main camp. Your family will enjoy exciting game drives guided by Calvin Cottar or a guide of an equal standard in either a modern four wheel drive vehicle, in an old vintage wooden vehicle or oxen pulled wagon. Walking safaris are offered on request. On a walking safari you will get much closer to nature, especially if the opportunity arises to track wild game.

A stay at Cottars will enable you to experience the annual migration between July and September as a few million zebra and wildebeest make their way through the Mara in search of fresh grazing opportunities. You will also be able to venture further afield to see migrating flocks of birds and predators such as lion, elephant, cheetah, buffalo and giraffe.
